COVID 19 – HOMEWORKING
There may be a contractual right to request or require home working.
In the current climate, an instruction to work from home will be regarded as a reasonable management request.
If you are asked to work at home you are entitled to receive your normal contractual pay, that is unless the contract provides otherwise. There would usually be no circumstances where there would be any variation to your contractual pay if you are continuing to do your work but at your home.
Your employer may have policies already in place. They may have adopted these which should cover hours of work, expenses, health and safety, use of equipment, data protection and information security.
