Litigants In Person – Unbundling Services

We provide Litigants in Person with tailored Unbundling services

Litigants in Person are parties who represent themselves and can be Claimants, Defendants, Petitioner, Respondent involved in employment, landlord & tenant, debt recovery, land, family or neighbour disputes, commercial litigation in Court or Tribunal matters.

What are Unbundling services?

They are separate items of legal assistance such as advice on law and procedure, drafting documents, consent orders, applications, bundle indexing and advocacy when required.

We can guide you through the maize of the Civil Procedure Rules and any Tribunal Rules that you have to comply with.  There are sanctions for not complying with the Rules or Orders of the Court or Tribunal where your case is being dealt with.  There are timescales in which you have to deal with each stage and it is important that you keep a close eye on those dates to avoid the risks of your case being struck out and/or being at risk of paying the other sides either if they are legally represented or at the Litigant in Person rate which is currently £19 per hour.

What happens to my case on a day to day basis?

We leave you to handle the more daily routine matters such as dealing with correspondence and managing the case, to keep costs well under control.

What do I do about preparing for attending Court or Tribunal?

If you have to attend Court in person we can prepare you for that by running through the process and how to deal with presenting your case.

If you have to deal with a hearing or the trial of your case by video or telephone we can provide you with advice and assistance with the preparations you need to make.

We provide you with a Skype or Zoom complimentary 30 minutes of tutoring on how to present yourself and make sure you have the confidence to go into a Court or Tribunal room and/or deal with a telephone or video hearing.

What does is cost me?

We offer highly competitive tailored cost effective fixed prices for each stage of the case.
