- Contentious Probate – is any dispute relating to the administration of a deceased person’s estate including contesting a will. It can involve a dispute over the value of assets, the interpretation of a will, or dealing with difficult executors or beneficiaries. When a person dies, unless their estate is very small, their estate must go through a process called Probate. This is essentially a process of determining the validity of their Will. You can contest a will which does not meet the required criteria under legislation.
